Website Submission Terms & Conditions

By submitting your story, typed, audio file, or audio recording (“Submission”) to Weird Idaho (Website, “Podcast,” “we,” “us”), you agree to the following terms:

1. Ownership and Licensing

  • You retain copyright: You represent that you are the sole creator and owner of the Submission, and that you have full authority to submit it.

  • License to use: By submitting, you grant Weird Idaho a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, edit, publish, broadcast, and distribute your story or audio recording, in whole or in part, in any media format now known or hereafter developed (including, but not limited to, audio, video, website, and promotional materials).

  • Edits: We reserve the right to edit, trim, or modify your story for length, clarity, or production quality. 

2. Content Guidelines

  • Originality: You guarantee that the story is your own original work and does not infringe on the copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any third party.

  • Privacy: If your story involves other people, you have obtained their permission to share their personal information.

  • Prohibited Content: Submissions must not contain unlawful, defamatory, libelous, obscene, or hateful content. 

3. No Compensation

  • Submitting your story does not entitle you to compensation, and we are under no obligation to use or air your submission.

4. Indemnity

  • You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Weird Idaho and its producers from any claims, damages, or costs (including attorney’s fees) arising from the use of your submission or your breach of these terms. 

5. Anonymity

  • If you wish to remain anonymous, please indicate this clearly in your submission. We will change names and identifying details, but we cannot guarantee absolute anonymity if the story contains specific, unique facts.
